Pandemonium Text and video: Catherine Owen Still art and web: Paul Saturley

Pandemonium is the capital of Hell in Milton's epic poem Paradise Lost. Pandemonium is also the state the world currently finds itself in, aswarm with often useless data, relentless extinctions of other species, pointless political skirmishes and a general sense that, in WB Yeats' words, "the centre will not hold."

Paul Saturley's photographs and Catherine Owen's poems, with their accompanying short films, engage in expressions of this apocalyptic energy, haunted by Dante, Catholicism and the Tower of Babel among other grim rivers of both the psyche & history.
