DEVO
1980 - Freedom Of Choice.
2010 - Something For Everybody.
way more Helter Skelter.

May 14, 1980 - 2025: 45 years of: Freedom Of Choice.
Oh yeah, it's DEVO !
The new decade of the 80s shall now go under serious evolution. Forget disco and Motown pop, after 1979's Duty Now For The Future LP, the brothers-in-arms of DEVO are now fully in command.
The hip-ness of "Girl U Want" and "It's Not Right" electrifies the dance-floors. The hard hammering of "That's Pep !" and grittiness "Ton O' Luv" is where rockabillia-punk becomes suburb-pop. Killer pop-art vibes are shouted on the title-track for "Freedom Of Choice", while the space-synths of "Cold War" and "Snowball" drives harder.
Hitting a Gram Slam with the cult-single pop-rock to pop-culture "Whip It", the band now swallows the mainstream. With a handful of bogginess, military beat, addictive hooks and unorthodox fashion statement ...DEVO is the reason to warrant MTV.
A wild staple.
A colorful rock-party.
A next to none experience.
RIAA-certified Platinum, American teens were now fully entangled in the new wave of DEVOlution ...what a lovely era. Kickstarting the 80s with a bang, the band shall soon provide another electro-choc: 1981's New Traditionalists LP.
RIP Alan Myers (1954-2013)

June 15, 2010 - 2025: 15 years of: Something For Everybody.
THEY'RE BACK !
In an unprecedented twist of events, an 80s icon shall hit gain in the current new millennium drought. Through thorough focus-groups and aggressive marketing-campaigns ...2010 shall now be devolutionized.
DEVO'S BACK !
The ultimate bitch-slap, as "Fresh" kicks our sorry asses. Fully electrified, this is "What We Do", as fast jabs of "Please Baby Please" and the head-shot kill of "Don't Shoot (I'm A Man)" rumbles the ground. More pristine power-pop implodes, as the robotic "Human Rocket" sets the rules in this controlled-chaos. Forever caught in a web, the hardrockin' of "Sumthin" and electro "March On" both keeps the beat to a tee.
Dormant during the 90s, following 1990's Smooth Noodle Maps CD, in a tornado of colors and sounds, the modern millennial trends were clearly not ready for this assault.
See it, hear it, feel it, taste it ...World, please welcome back in a new newwave-format: DEVO's dearly digital delight.
RIP Bob Casale (1952-2014)
