In an era filled with The Avengers, 007 Agent and Man From U.N.C.L.E. duo drama spy-action ...one very special team would make the impossible, possible. The fuse is lit.

Daring the undoable, seemly ordinary people accomplishing extra-ordinary tasks. Better than the C.I.A., the F.B.I., the M.I.6. and even the K.G.B. ...they are: the I.M.F. (Impossible Missions Force). Unlisted strike-team of a shadow government and fighting nemeses in full 360°, they secure the West during the real-life tensions of the Cold War. With sophisticated schemes, ultra high-tech gadgets, dazzling make-up and plain forgery, the I.M.F. made sure corruption and dictatorship be kept to a minimal.

"Your mission, should you choose to accept it..." The always on alert Lalo Schifrin jazz intro-theme electrified audiences and is now synonymous with mystique and espionage modus-operandi.

Going into Season 2, enters leader Jim Phelps, portrayed by actor Peter Graves. Later Seasons would eventually feature Star Trek's own Vulcan: Leonard Nimoy. Both original cast Martin Landau and Barbara Bain would jump into unknown territory, deep in the blackness of the cosmos, with 1975's sci-fi cornucopia: Space 1999.

The Mission Impossible brand would arise again with 1988's made for TV adaptations and 1996's revival, through fruitful Tom Cruise led movies.
