October 15, 1996 - 2021: 25 years of: Christmas Eve And Other Stories.

From a single AVATAR to a full blown 20-piece orchestra.

Melodic-rock icons SAVATAGE have been partnering with musical genius Paul O'Neill since 1987's Hall Of The Mountain King LP. Releases after releases, the symphonic-effect and feature concepts have grown to epic proportions with 1991's CD Streets: A Rock Opera.

Now deep into the mid 90s, the time was right for this vision to take over the world, in a rock-less post-grunge landscape. All aboard the freight-train that is the: TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA. Numerous singers, a choir, a full orchestra along electric guitars, electric bass and drums ...all current members of SAVATAGE are present. The ultimate rock-supernova.

The historical pieces "O Come, All Ye Faithful" and "O Holy Night" and classic cuts like "A Mad Russian's Christmas" ...all receive the O'Neill overdrive treatment. One rich hour of colourful wintery-sounds with a carol-feel, all wrapped in a rock-envelope.

Progressive, epic, conceptual, symphonic ...or even Christmas-metal, call 'em what you will, as this new entity is filling up arenas and breaking new grounds in the live department. This exhibition shall eventually include flame-throwers, mechanical-arms, laser-lights and giant display screens. The bigger than life elaborate stage-production is an all-time show-stopper. Think: Disney and RAMMSTEIN combined !

TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA and Christmas Eve And Other Stories, truly music you have to listen to ...and watch. Some rock-fans might ask: "Who listens to actual Christmas music ?" ...well a couple of people do, as the RIAA-certified 3x Platinum plateau was reached.

Part of a music-trilogy, the T.S.O. fairytale shall continue with 1998's The Christmas Attic CD. Light it up !
